WHAT WE BELIEVE

Statement of a Faith:

We  believe in one God, who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe that God is the creator and sustainer of all things, and that He loves us and wants us to have a personal relationship with Him. (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16-17; John 3:16; Jeremiah 31:3; John 17:3)

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who became human, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. (John 1:1-14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 5:8)

We believe that by faith in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven of our sins and receive eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 10:43; John 5:24)

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God’s presence and power in our lives, who convicts us of sin, guides us into truth, and helps us to grow in holiness. (John 14:16-17; John 16:8; John 16:13; Galatians 5:22-23)

We believe that the Holy Spirit gives us spiritual gifts to serve God and others, and that some of these gifts include speaking in tongues, prophecy, healing, miracles, discernment, wisdom, knowledge, faith, and service. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Acts 2:4; Acts 19:6; Romans 12:6-8)

We believe that these gifts are to be used with love, humility, order, and respect. (1 Corinthians 13:1-3; 1 Peter 5:5-6; 1 Corinthians 14:40; Romans 12:10)

We believe that God calls us to be part of His church, which is His family and His body in the world. (Ephesians 2:19-22; Ephesians 4:4-6; Ephesians 5:23)

We believe that God wants us to worship Him in spirit and in truth, to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourself. (John 4:24; Matthew 22:37-39)

We believe that God has a purpose and a plan for each life, and that He will come again to judge the living and the dead and to establish His kingdom forever. (Jeremiah 29:11; Acts 1:11; Acts 10:42; Revelation 21:1-4).
